Anjali Kumar grew up in a family who invested in real estate and was taught from a young age how to invest, renovate and manage real estate.  From rental properties to 'fix and flip' projects, she learned the business side of real estate, the client side, as well as the design and renovation process.   

Starting at age 23, Anjali purchased her first fixer upper on the Upper East side of Manhattan, continuing to buy and renovate condos and coops in Manhattan from the Upper East and Upper West sides down to Soho, and from there, grew her investments and experience to single family homes in the suburbs of New York, Connecticut, North Carolina, Arizona, and California.

Anjali has designed and renovated beautiful homes for herself and others. She is passionate about the process, the details, and creating spaces that her friends, family and clients enjoy and are excited to call "home".

Samsara Design House was created as a renovation project design and management firm to help her clients with their projects in any capacity, small or large.
